This Blue Note Tone Poet Edition 2-CD set was produced by Joe Harley and remastered by Kevin Gray from the original tapes. Includes a booklet with never-before-seen photos by Francis Wolff and an essay by Syd Schwartz.

The Big Band of the Deutsche Oper Berlin is celebrating it's 20th anniversary and dedicating itself to French jazz. During the German occupation, it stood for freedom and resistance, and in the post-war period it became the soundtrack of existentialism and an expression of the attitude to life of an entire generation. In the nightclubs of Saint-Germain-des-Pr�s, musicians such as Miles Davis and Sidney Bechet met Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, and Boris Vian. For many jazz musicians from the USA, Paris became a place of longing beyond racial segregation and the McCarthy era. Happy Today, the third album from guitarist/bandleader Jeff Parker's long-running ETA IVtet, was recorded live at Lodge Room in Los Angeles on August 20, 2025. This fresh entry into the IVtet's catalog captures Parker and the band - including drummer Jay Bellerose, bassist Anna Butterss, and saxophonist Josh Johnson - on record outside of the now-shuttered Highland Park micro-club ETA for the first time.

Chet Baker At George Jazzcaf� was recorded live in 1983 at George Jazzcaf� in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and at New Morning, Paris France. Dutch Jazz pioneers Wim and Ria Wigt had the privilege of supporting Chet's lifestyle by offering him a steady series of concerts that suited his way of living and traveling. The line-up often changed, depending on the tour. These four live recordings were made during a memorable run with two outstanding musicians from Copenhagen: veteran pianist Duke Jordan and bassist Jesper Lundgaard. The album offers a first selection from the tapes of a tour which took place at George Jazzcaf� in Arnhem and New Morning in Paris. Chet Baker performs "Walkin'," "Solar" (written by Miles Davis) and "Star Eyes" all three recorded at George Jazzcaf� as well as "September Song" recorded at New Morning. All tracks are available on CD for the first time. Booklet includes liner-notes by Wim and Ria Wigt, an original review published in the Dutch newspaper de Gelderlander in 1983 and an excerpt from the book George Jazzcaf�: An Arnhem Legend 1974-1996 released in 2024.

2025 was a year of milestones for me: I had a big birthday and I was about to record my 20th album as a leader. The 20th album felt really important; I wanted to celebrate my time in New York City and musical achievements. I imagined a party and jam session where all of my loved ones were present, a time where we would play music and laugh and eat good food and have a real party. "House Party" is that dream come true. On this record you will hear my long-time rhythm section (more than 20 years of music!!) Hide Tanaka on bass and Fukushi Tainaka on drums. Sitting in with us is Cory Weeds, my long time touring partner, musical collaborator, and founder of Cellar Live Records on tenor sax. Also sitting in with us is Klas Lindquist, my newest collaborator, on alto sax. In the audience we have my friends and business associates spanning many years. We played, we talked, we laughed, we partied. This album represents all that is good and beloved in my life, I hope you feel the same spirit when you listen!

The Cecil Taylor Unit's performance at Salle Pleyel in Paris on November 3, 1969, was a notable moment in avant-garde jazz. Featuring Cecil Taylor on piano, Jimmy Lyons on alto saxophone, Sam Rivers on tenor/soprano saxophone and flute, and Andrew Cyrille on drums, the concert showcased the group's intense, free jazz style. The recording was transferred from the original tape reels at INA and restored and mastered by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. Includes an extensive booklet with rare photographs from the show and liner notes by acclaimed jazz critic and author Phil Freeman.
