Thomas Aquinas writes in the Summa Theologica: "Music is the exaltation of the mind derived from things eternal, bursting forth in sound." the quotation most aptly describes the repertoire on the Norwegian chamber choir Schola Cantorum's recording of hymns to Mary, the Mother of God, in which tranquility, eternity and 'bursting forth into sound' are encountered in many different guises.

The contemporary and improvisational Norwegian chamber vocal ensemble and quintet Song Circus, led by LIV Runesdatter are known to European audiences for their performances that incorporate a fascinating vocabulary of sound combined with rare musical precision. This collection, Anatomy of Sound is but an aspect of a multimedia presentation projected to incorporate recordings along with immersive websites and projected to eventually include eight projects and fifteen composers by the cycle's end in 2018. For this first collection from this crucible of the voice, Song Circus highlights the fecundity of the emerging generation of Norwegian composers: Ruben Sverre Gjertsen with the intricate Landscape with Figures and Ole-Henrik Moe's piece for voices and wine glasses Persefone.

NODEBOG presents musical pleasures and divertissements from 18th century Norway. These rediscovered treasures from the past can only be recreated through living performance today, here by flautist Hans Olav Gorset and his fellow musicians.

On this 180g vinyl release, artistic director +�yvind Gimse and his associate Geir Inge Lotsberg initially chose two pieces that represent, in their opinion, "the most beautiful music ever composer for the string orchestra": Tchaikovsky's Souvenir de Florence and his Serenade for Strings. Aiming for a 90 minute program, this left 30 minutes to record. TrondheimSolistene and 2L asked fans worldwide what they would like to hear. The majority voted Nielsen's Suite Opus 1, a little gem that would exploit the Trondheim Soloists' singular way with Nordic repertoire. TrondheimSolistene are regarded as one of the top chamber orchestras in the world. Their DIVERTIMENTI and FOLK STYLE were both nominated for a total of five American GRAMMY Awards in categories "Best Small Ensemble", "Best Engineered Album" and "Best Surround Sound Album".

2L and Hoff Ensemble present Quiet Winter Night, an acoustic jazz project. Members of the Hoff Ensemble include Mathias Eick (trumpet), Borge Petersen-Overleir (guitar), Annbjorg Lien (nyckelharpa and hardanger fiddle), Jan Gunnar Hoff (piano), Arild Andersen (double bass), Rune Arnesen (percussion). Vocals by Helene Boksle, Asne Valland Nordli, Annbjorg Lien, Sondre Brat land, Unni Wilhelmsen, Tomine Harket, Bjurn Johan Muri, Cecilia Vennersten and Bjorn Eidsvag.
