The music of Jesper Koch (b. 1967) is in a constant and fruitful dialogue with the past. Often melodious with tonal connotations and with a dreamlike quality that seeks to escape from reality in the cello concerto Dreamscapes, feels at home in oases of happiness and nostalgia in the violin concerto Arcadia Lost. And finally, the clarinet concerto Lonesome deals with different aspects of loneliness. The three concertos are presented here in world premiere recordings featuring the soloists they were written for. They, in turn, share a deep connection with the Odense Symphony Orchestra, always close to the composer's heart. Born in England, conductor Justin Brown studied at Cambridge University and Tanglewood Institute with Seiji Ozawa and Leonard Bernstein. Internationally acclaimed in both the symphonic and operatic repertoire, Justin Brown is General Music Director of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe in Germany and was Music Director of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in the United States.

Winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Music, Bernard Rands is well established as a major figure in contemporary music. His music has been described as 'plangent lyricism with dramatic intensity', qualities developed since his studies with Dallapiccola and Berio. Inspired in the 1970's by the then new Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, Rands researched and sketched Vincent for the next 40 years. Described by the Huffington Post as Rands' 'crowning achievement', Vincent represents much of the great painter's life and in particular the dramatic setbacks of his later years, contrasting the affection of his brother Theo with intese inner struggles, his vicious conflict with Gauguin, and his tragic and untimely death.

Eva Kruses preceding albums In Water and On the Mo have both received loads of praise and recognition. In 2015 and 2017 she was honored with Jazz-Echo awards (the German equivalent of a Grammy) for best national bass player. M. Heinzelmann described in NDRs Jazz-Album of the week that: "The Oboe is very rarely heard in jazz: It's pure sound opens up the sonic landscape and together with the saxophone it takes the listener on a journey into unknown territories". This spirit of breaking new ground characterizes the whole of the album On the Mo. Eva Kruse plays to her strengths, the poetry, the grooves and the freedom, and together with her band they explore across boundaries.
