The Cajun musical sound of Louisiana is more often associated with artists from the 1960's like Clifton Chenier and Rockin' Dopsie. The black artists actually performed in the style known as Zydeco, a mixture of Cajun music performed in French by the settlers of the area was a white music more associated with folk and country. It was first recorded in the 1920's and this collection brings together many examples of this rural music from that decade and the 30's. Among the artists featured are such pioneers of the genre as the Hackberry Ramblers and the Falcon Trio. Acrobat. 2003.

Composed against a cataclysmic backdrop of Stalinist oppression and the Second World War, Shostakovich's Symphony No.8 is a deeply affecting poem of suffering. Denis Solee/Beegie Adair Trio - "Gershwin On Sax" The music of George Gerswhin featuring tenor sax and orchestra. Multi-reed player/saxophonist Denis Solee has played in military bands, symphony orchestras, Broadway shows, big bands, and small groups, and he has appeared on radio, TV, films, and recordings for artists from Ray Stevens to Ray Charles. He teaches ensembles and saxophone at The Nashville Jazz Workshop, and transcribes and arranges for these ensembles.

Digipak. Evans in England is a newly-discovered recording of the Bill Evans Trio featuring bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Marty Morell captured live at the legendary Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London, England in December of 1969. The deluxe set includes an elaborate booklet with rare photos, essays, and interviews. This is the fourth official Resonance release of previously un-issued Bill Evans recordings and captures Evans in a peak period of creativity at the helm of what would become his longest lasting trio.

Recorded at his home studio in 1986, NO END illuminates hitherto undocumented aspects of Keith Jarretts music. He is heard here on electric guitars, electric bass, drums and percussion, overdubbing tribal dances of his own devising.
