Centered around Richard Wagner’s death in Venice, this program, put together by Lajos Lencses, views Venice in a quiet and somber way, rather than the typical intensity associated with the city’s carnival.; Works from Liszt, Dubois, Grandval, Mahler, and Wagner himself are featured.+ The Budapest Chamber Academy, conducted by Geza Gemesi is the performing ensemble for this release, with outstanding soloists Lajos Leneses and Leo Leneses performing on oboe and cello, respectively.
