The project for this recording continues the Monteverdi work of the San Felice Ensemble, traced with L’Incoronazione di Poppea, but in a new experimental guise. In fact, the idea emerged in 2020 in full pandemic lockdown. Consequently, the recording was done entirely in multitrack, historically commonly used in pop music, but still not very widespread in classical music. Federico Bardazzi's musical direction masterfully combines the philological approach, which has always distinguished the interpretations of the San Felice Ensemble, with the development of innovative technological solutions capable of enhancing the sublime expressiveness of the Monteverdi masterpiece in an incredibly current key.
