In Il divertimento dei Numi (1774), in only one hour of music, many expressive chords are struck: the balance between the sentimental and hyronical sides of this comic opera reaches to include a great variety of situations which encompasses wider expressive possibilities and peculiar aspects which largely exceeds the formulas of gallant style, or comic style.
