Based on the 2005 film of the same name by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth, Kinky Boots the musical premiered in 2012. In it's first season the show received 13 Tony Award nominations and won six. Kinky Boots boasts music and lyrics by pop culture icon Cyndi Lauper, as well as book by Harvey Fierstein. This album is a live recording of the original West End cast, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell.
