The Danish DJ, composer and producer Katrine Ring is one of the few DJs at the international level who has specialized in classical music. On this album she remixes and deconstructs a number of chamber concertos by the composer Vagn Holmboe in a musical game of hide-and-seek that breathes new life into the works in a constant play of memory and recognition. The original recordings by the Danish National Chamber Orchestra and the conductor Hannu Koivula are included as a bonus CD. Katrine Ring has worked with classical music since 2006 as a member of the Danish fraction of the German DJ and clubbing concept Yellow Lounge. As a composer she works with real-world sounds, computer and effects for both concerts and audio productions.

Danish composer and violinist Birgitte Alsted (b. 1942) has been a pioneer of electro-acoustic music, finding the main inspiration for her music in literature and poetry. This album presents four of Alsted's key works for the first time on CD with the dramatic sound collage Agnete's Laughter, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen, as the captivating title work.

Danish composer Mogens Christensen (b. 1955) is a true alchemist of sound. This selection was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Awards for "Best Opera Recording" and "Best Classical Contemporary Composition."

The Maersk Opera is an opera in three acts for 26 voices, choir, and orchestra about the building of the Copenhagen Opera House, donated to the city of Copenhagen as a "people's gift," financed solely by Denmark's richest man, the late Maersk McKinney-Moller. The opera tells the story of the power relation between a single privileged individual, his company and the surrounding society, through the much debated building of the Opera House. The Maersk Opera is licensed for free non-commercial use and the score was donated to the Royal Danish Opera and the Copenhaben Opera House for free in 2012. The artwork for this album was made by the art group SUPERFLEX, who exhibits their works in museums all over the world.
