A forbidding and gothic new score by Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Species, Urban Legend, The Grudge, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) for the F.W. Murnau classic 1922 silent-movie 'Nosferatu, A Symphony of Horror', one of the most influential films of all time and one that continues to cast it's long shadow across the horror movie genre even still. The perfect match of composer and movie. The recording of this new score was made with Frank Strobel, conductor, Saya Hashino, organ and Tonhalle-Orchester Zrich.

Of her first Delmark CD, "Learned My Lesson" (DMK 748), Living Blues magazine said "Her rough-edged croon can raise welts or love bumps. She has the versatility to strut comfortably from back-alley funk to uptown jump sophistication." "Tore Up from the Floor Up" features six original compositions, some choice covers and an interview. Guitarist Pete Allen provides most of the musical direction, while the Chicago Horns provide support on "Til the Fat Lady Sings" and "Ace of Spades." Zora's done-somebody-wrong medley is especially colorful when she combines "Since I Fell for You", "Silhouettes" and "Me And Mr. Jones"!

This is the first album for Young on an established American label, which is surprising since she is one of the most creative blues singers in Chicago; born in West Point, MS & raised in Chicago, where she grew up singing gospel - after years in the R&B "chittlin circuit," she switched to blues & has shared the stage with B.B. & Albert King; here, she's joined by guest guitarist James Wheeler.

More recordings from the closely guarded vaults of the legendary Onyx Records, inc. 2 unforgettable sets of late Lester circa 1956, when Pres' playing was at it's most communicative & introverted; here he shines on a selection of standards & 2 signature tunes, "Lester Leaps In" & "Lester's European Blues," which have been unavailable since their initial release on LP in '73
