It started with an idea and a great desire and willingness to act. Then, slowly but consistently, the idea began to materialize. Three good friends connected in Krakow to create this extraordinary project. The Trio (Milosz Bazarnik, Krystian Telizyn, Liliana Zieniawa) is composed of students and graduates of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Krak�w School of Jazz and Entertainment Music. The leader of the ensemble is Milosz Bazarnik - pianist, composer, arranger, educator, graduate of the Krak�w School of Jazz and Entertainment Music in the piano class and Musicology at the Jagiellonian University. As far as the genre is concerned, the album oscillates around the concept of Scandinavian jazz, modern jazz, and widely understood European jazz. The album includes 5 studio tracks with 1 bonus concert recording, which gives us a nice amount of music from this talented group. The featured pieces are original compositions of the leader.

In recent years, the topic of knowledge emerging in virtual reality has increasingly become an inspiration for the creation of films and books. However, probably for the first time, online relations turned out to be a direct inspiration for creating a cyclical music piece. Antoni Wojnar, a student of professor Andrzej Branicki, decided to compose a modernist fairy tale - The Nochat's Dance. It's heroes are people who establish virtual contacts, which then result in close ties in the real world. The original use of human voice and ingeniously juxtaposed musical instruments with marimba at the forefront, makes this remarkable musical whole turn out to be easily perceptible for the listener.

The world of Robert Schumann occupies a notable place in the space of European Romanticism. His sstyle is distinguished by dedicating special attention to the nuances of spiritual life. “To send light into the darkness of men’s heart- such is the duty of the artist!”- that Schumann’s aphorism may be a motto of all his works. It is particularly the pieces composed in the 1830s that are most emotional, a part of which is presented on the album performed by famous Russian pianist Irina Petrova Chukovskaya. Irina Vladimirovna Petrova-Chukovskaya has had a long artistic path, typical for talented children in the USSR. She was born in Tashkent to a musical family. Already at the age of seven, she performed the Piano Concerto in D major by Joseph Haydn accompanied by the Tashkent Philharmonic Orchestra and at the age of twelve, she was admitted to the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Vera Vasilyevna Gornostaeva. Soon she performed her first concerto. Since 1985 she has been a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic, and she actively performs in Russia and abroad. “Chukovskaya combines unprecedented technique with passionate and poetic musicality. Her repertoire is very extensive and her performances are often sensational.” (David Gilbert)

Ludwig van Beethoven created in five decades five sonatas for piano and cello. The sonatas reflect the transformations of the composer's constantly developing style. The Second Sonata in G minor, Op. 5 No. 2 and the 3rd Sonata in A major, Op. 69 are contrasting. The first is a youthful work, full of virtuosic fantasy and vigor, the second is the work of a mature composer, the author of significant symphonic works. The first of these was written in 1796 for the Prussian King Frederick William II, and it's individual parts maintained once in the mood of court dignity, and once militarily correspond to the personality of the recipient of dedication. Inspired by the Napoleonic army occupation of Vienna, the Sonata in A major has a much more elegiac and reflective character.

A recording of the series devoted to Krzysztof Meyer 's works includes his latest chamber music. Born in 1943, the composer has worked out the original style of 56 years of creative work, combining modern means of expression and intellectualism with a traditionally understood narrative of music influencing the emotions of the listeners. Three sound performances on this album are excellent examples of this. The virtuoso piano quartet abounds in contrasts and changes, the atmospheric String Quartet falls on its background in a much quieter, expressive climax brings the Quintet to four saxophones and piano , unexpectedly reminiscent of the last Bach to chant. These works are, of course, performed by some of the finest ensembles and chamber musicians in Poland.

Jerry Madrawski is a very popular figure in the accordion community. He has recorded numerous albums (above all featuring the music of Polish composers); since 1980, he has been involved in educational activities. After many years of a virtuosic career, his artistic activity took a significant turn toward composing. This release is a documentary by Jerzy Madrawski. The title ‘Interference’ can be understood as overlapping of many stylistic features, as a result of which a new, comprehensive and harmonious effect arises. Madrawski’s work is impossible to label with a specific style. It is a coexistence of traditional elements, folklore-based features, the language developed by Astor Piazzolla and modern means- sophisticated rhythm and a sonoristic sound atmosphere. The compositions’ titles are also worth paying attention to. Exploration of the associations related to them is an intellectual adventure for performer and listener.

Opus 1 is a project that is a result of common musical interests of all-knowing educated soloists - violinist Michal Buczkowskiewicz and guitarist Alexander Wilgos. This album is a consequence of their search and passion, the joy of discovering new sounds and colors, so extraordinary in both violin and guitar accompaniment. Andaluza and Oriental come from a series of 12 Spanish dances by Enrique Granadosa for piano from 1890. These pieces, inspired by traditional Spanish music, are not basically dances, and the dances are stylized. Elements of folklore are canvases on which characteristic and stylistic works are created. Most of the compositions on the album are similarly drawn from folk music from the country of the composer. Szymanowski's and Bartók's compositions featured here are the world premiere of these pieces in the guitar-violin transcription

From traditional folk songs, to John Dowland, to Burt Bacharach, Zolt�n Kod�ly or Billy Joel and The Beatles. Variety, outstanding arrangements and a beautiful edition make this album an interesting proposal for music lovers looking for quality entertainment in the best sense of the word in a classic setting. The BeFour vocal quartet was established in 2011. Thanks to it's unique authenticity and passion, it has won a broad audience. It performs in an unchanged composition: Karolina Piesik, Kamila Tracewska-Mikolajczak, Anna Komendzinska, Brygida Sawicka-Stepinska, performing mainly a capella vocal music.

Antoni Katski (1816-1899) was an excellent pianist, prolific composer, educator, representative of a musically talented family, and multidimensional artist, enjoying fame and recognition in Europe, who, despite his enormous influence on the development of the 19th-century musical culture, is now completely forgotten, both in Poland and worldwide. With this release, an outstanding pianist of the new generation, Anna Parkita, introduces the work of one of the most important ambassadors of the music of Polish Romantic period. Two piano sonatas presented on the album are a testimony to Antoni Katski's thorough musical education and compositional skills. The sonatas abound with the most characteristic features of the composer's musical language; at the same time, they contain a whole range of expressive means of the epoch in which he lived.

A previously unpublished recording of six of Monteverdi's madrigals has been attached to the re-edition of this album. This outstanding performance comes from a concert held on 19 May 1991 in Tours. In this recording, the composer's genius and the talent and work of the singers miraculously combined. All the madrigals on the album, performed by Il Canto, are small masterpieces, but there are real gems among them, pieces that we experience deeply with each performance. The most beautiful of them is Piagne e sospira to a text by Tasso. The music, enhancing the sombre mood of the poem, triggers intense emotions in the listener. S, ch'io vorrei morire, on the other hand, is a perfect erotic, painting the elation of the act of love with music. The terrible despair of an abandoned lover is contained in Ah, dolente partita. On the other side of the mood, one can situate two light, virtuoso madrigals Io mi son giovinetta and Quel augellin che canta.'

One can appreciate the concert performances as the more lively, genuine and authentic than the recordings made in studio. This is due to the fact that the artist's performance of music with the participation of audience, on a concert stage, is accompanied by genuine emotions. Each concert is a rush of adrenaline, which translates into a spontaneous performance, fresh interpretation ideas, liveliness and at the same time authenticity of the artistic message. Nowadays, only a few living artists decide to record such a demanding repertoire in the concert version. This album of Rafal Luszczewski is another concert offer of this versatile artist. This time the pianist, somewhat analogously to his previous album, decided to bring you closer his public performance of the complete set of Fryderyk Chopin's Ballades, supplementing the album with other selected works by the Polish Romantic.

The proMODERN vocal sextet specializes in interpretation of contemporary music. It has premiered 38 works, primarily of Polish composers (including miniatures, larger a cappella forms, vocal and instrumental pieces with orchestra, operas and 10 different song cycles). The ensemble was established in 2012. Since then, it has performed at many Polish and international festivals, on stages of the majority of Polish philharmonics. This album contains 11 vocal works by Polish contemporary composers, including three world phonographic premieres.

The 12th Musica Sacromontana Festival (2017) saw the contemporary premiere of another work by J�zef Zeidler, the spiritual patron of this event. The Mass in D major (just like the monumental Mass ex D) has been preserved in the collections of Die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich. The Mass in D major seems to be a more personal and natural work, where simplicity gains the features of conscious artistry. The music is maximally organized, both in the construction of individual phrases and larger formal entities. The MUSICA SACROMONTANA Festival is meant to continue the intentions of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri, who wanted to evangelize through the broadly understood propagation of culture. It is thanks to their efforts that in the 17th century a great ensemble was created there, and the greatest composers, including Palestrina, came to Gostyn. Many of them wrote pieces on commission of the Congregation; fathers also filled the library with copies of works of the greatest masters.

The first of the four pieces presented on Adam Wesolowski's monographic album, the Euphory Concerto, is a three movement concerto for euphonium and string orchestra, in which the composer presents this beautiful-sounding instrument from various perspectives. The piece was composed in June 2019 on commission from Steven Mead. The Silver Concerto is an industrial concerto for harpsichord, string orchestra and multimedia using sounds and images of the Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie G�ry. The piece was commissioned by the City of Tarnowskie G�ry. The Encore Concerto is a five-movement concerto for flute and string orchestra with an undetermined order of the movements. They are all based on the same musical motifs that are arranged by the composer depending on the nature of the individual movements. Each of them is a finished miniature, drawing attention to a different element showing the technical and expressive possibilities of the soloist. Therefore, it is the soloist that decides about the order of the movements and their number. The Industrial Sinfonia by Adam Wesolowski for string orchestra and multimedia combines tradition with modernity. The piece was composed for the 150th anniversary of the City of Chorz�w (formerly Kr�lewska Huta). It is the first composition in history that combines natural sounds of string instruments with the sounds of industrial machines, with particular emphasis on the Huta Kosciuszko in Chorz�w.

In recent years, Mieczyslaw Weinberg has become one of the most recognizable Polish composers of the 20th century, which was significantly influenced by the hundredth anniversary of the composer's birth in December 2019. The project of the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio devoted exclusively to works by Mieczyslaw Weinberg perfectly reflects the peculiar revival related to the interest in the artist in Poland and in the world. This album is another proposal from the Amadeus Orchestra series, this time dedicated to selected symphonies, the Flute Concerto No. 2 and the Sinfonietta for string orchestra and timpani, Op. 74.
