Swiss pianist and composer Sylvie Courvoisier has been a defining figure on the contemporary jazz scene for 20 years and is at the epicenter of the New York music scene. She was also recently awarded the prestigious Swiss Grand Prix Musik 2025. She now follows up on the acclaimed recent releases - her solo album To be Other-Wise, and the atmospherically multi-layered duo album Angel Falls with the legendary Wadada Leo Smith - with a live album from her much-lauded trio with bassist Drew Gress and drummer Kenny Wollesen. Recorded during a European tour in February 2025, the album presents the quintessence of this outstanding trio. With each concert, with each album, the trio's working method becomes more defined. In deep musical trust with each other, the three exceptional musicians celebrate a detailed and precise music that is both ambiguous and wide open. "And that's what this album shows now. 2022 release. Mark Tremonti has come together with surviving members of Frank's orchestra, creating new takes on some of the classics and some deeper cuts from Frank's catalog. Mark has gifted this album to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), using all proceeds to help fund NDSS give the gift of music to children with developmental disabilities.

Alight Upon the Lake: Live at the Jazz Showcase is a previously unissued recording of woodwind multi-instrumentalist icon Yusef Lateef featuring pianist Kenny Barron, bassist Bob Cunningham and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath captured live at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase in Chicago, IL in June of 1975. The 3-CD set was mastered from the original tapes by engineer Matthew Lutthans.

In addition to appearing as a sideman with Blue Note organists Baby Face Willette & Big John Patton, the brawny tenor saxophonist Fred Jackson also cut his soulful leader debut for the label in 1962. Hootin' 'N Tootin' features organist Earl Van Dyke, guitarist Willie Jones and drummer Wilbert Hogan. This stereo Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket.

WEB WEB is starting a new chapter with Kover Kover. For the first time in the band's ten-year history, the focus is not on original compositions, but exclusively on cover versions - a radical change of perspective that seems entirely consistent. The musicians' stylistic openness inevitably led to an intriguing question: what would songs by Talking Heads, Kruder & Dorfmeister or Joe Jackson sound like if they had originally been penned by WEB WEB? The answer was obvious - you just had to put these pieces through the distinctive WEB WEB cosmos. The idea: to interpret favorite songs from completely different musical worlds in such a way that they fit organically into one's own musical language. The amazing thing is that it wasn't particularly difficult. Because a really good song can be reduced to two essential components - a melody that you can sing along to and a harmonic structure that remains instantly recognisable even in it's simplest form.

Released on Verve in 1965, The Shadow of Your Smile captures Astrud Gilberto in the early ascent of her solo career, placing her understated, conversational vocal style at the center of lush yet subtle arrangements by Don Sebesky and Klaus Ogerman that emphasize clarity, warmth, and emotional transparency across bossa nova, jazz, and mid-60s pop material. Produced by Creed Taylor, the album frames her soft, unforced delivery with gentle orchestral color, whether on the newly minted standard of the title track, Brazilian selections, or contemporary ballads, allowing the nuances of her timbre and phrasing to carry the music. As a whole, it marks a key moment in Gilberto's evolution from guest vocalist to fully realized solo artist and affirms her as a defining voice of the bossa nova era.
