Distance features the unusual combination of accordionist Yueming Xu with saxophonist Michael Krenn in repertoire that ranges from the baroque to contemporary eras. Along with arrangements of seminal Baroque masterworks, Distance presents the accordion-saxophone interplay to distinctive effect with contemporary compositions by Krzysztof Penderecki, Toru Takemitsu, Luciano Berio, Astor Piazzolla and also includes Theodor Burkali's SaxAccordia, a piece written for and dedicated to the performers.

For many years, the ensemble Guitar4mation has been receiving enthusiastic critical acclaim by both the audience and the media for their original arrangements and entertaining interpretations of classical piano music. The third album with Gramola, Trans4mation, reflects the ensemble's musical development over the years. Arrangements of piano music play as important a role as on the previous CDs; but this time they did not merely transcribe music by Chick Corea, Hermeto Pascoal, Robert Schumann or Frederic Chopin for guitar. Trans4mation also stands for the metamorphosis of a Prelude by Chopin into a bossa nova by Tom Jobim and of the famous Waltz op. 64 No. 2 in C sharp minor into a very special Viennese-Venezuelan melange. Thus, Guitar4mation builds a bridge between the world of European Romantic music and the world of Latin jazz, between very different styles and continents. Guitar4mation is a guitar quartet based in Vienna, Austria, although the group's members Michal Nagy, Petr Saidl, Martin Wesely and Martin Schwarz live as far apart as Poland, the Czech Republic and widely separated regions of Austria. Therefore, describing the group as based in trains, cars and planes would probably be more accurate.... The four musicians meet regularly in different places to enthrall their audiences by presenting well known and lesser known music in their unique way, using the magical colours four guitars can create. Every one of Guitar4mation's members adds his own individual musical experiences and stylistic expertise to enrichen the group's repertoire. Guitar4mation was founded in Vienna in 1993. Many contemporaries considered Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock’s poetry awkward; for this reason few of his poems and odes found their way into music. + Some, however, were frequently taken up and adapted, thus linking composers such as Christoph Willibald Gluck, C.P.E. Bach and Franz Schubert on a higher plane, as it were. + Wolfgang Holzmair, an internationally successful baritone, fortepianist Wolfgang Brunner and soprano Stefanie Steger compare and contrast the two or even three parallel settings of the same text (odes on friendship, nature and love), unearthing surprising linkages.

Austrian flutist Birgit Ramsl and musical partner Vito Lattarulo, piano, take on a musical journey throughout several centuries of flute repertoire. Starting with the Sonata for Flute Solo by C. Ph. E. Bach, originating from the royal Prussian court in the second half of the 18th century and the Sonata "Undine" for Flute and Piano Op. 167 by Carl Reinecke, composed during the era of late Romanticism, the journey moves on to France, featuring the Divertimento for Flute and Piano (1953) by Jean Fran�aix and Le Merle noir by Olivier Messiaen from the year 1951. More conservative in style are the Sonata Op. 94 for flute and piano by Sergej Prokoffieff, composed during the year 1943 in Perm, Russia, as well as the Air for Flute Solo (1995) by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu.

Schubert.Metamorphosen takes the listener into an unknown Schubert realm, briding the boundaries of classical and jazz music. The blind faith of the duo I Dioscuri in one another is the foundation for an astounding intensity of Schubert without words rarely experienced before. Since 2007, the duo I Dioscuri, consisting of saxophonist Edgar Unterkirchner and organist an dpianist Wolfgang Horvath, has worked on the unusual project of realizing lieder by Franz Schubert for saxophone and piano - connected by improvised bridge passages. After a nearly ten-year tireless search for the ideal sound, after tenacious experimenting with various types of saxophones, reeds and mouthpieces in all kinds of rooms, after no small number of trips to the isntrument maker Roberto Buttus in Italy, who constructed the "Sequoia" saxophone entirely according to Edgar Unterkirchner's ideas of sound, intonation and ergonomics, the time has coem at long last: The great Schubert dream is coming true, and the exciting production has been gaining in popularity - and not just among experts - since its 2014 premiere at the Lisztzentrum in Raiding, Austria.

The great pianist Paul Badura-Skoda presents two milestones of piano literature and the most important works by Franz Schubert in this genre: the monumental ‘Wanderer Fantasia’ in C, D760 and the unfinished and posthumously published Sonata in C, D840 ‘Reliquie’. Paul Badura-Skoda’s intensive study of Schubert’s oeuvre and the preserved fragments of the third and fourth movements as well as of Viennese Classicism in general led to this completion of the great sonata, kept entirely in Schubert’s style so that the transitions take place flowingly and no stylistic ruptures can be discerned.

"•On her latest CD, with the Sonatas No. 32 in C minor op. 111 by Ludwig van Beethoven and the one in B flat major D 960 by Franz Schubert, Dora Deliyska combines both composers' respective last piano sonatas. In them, the young Bulgarian pianist fathoms profound emotions and explores the compositions as interactions between the creative paths of the composers with the unknown dimension - death. With her interpretation, Dora Deliyska offers the listener the opportunity to experience unknown and alien spheres as the fulfilment of our human course and to immerse himself in the light of music. Part of this edition includes a bonus CD with videos of Dora Deliyska from Schönburg Palace in Vienna with works by Beethoven, Wagner/Liszt and Verdi/Liszt. • Dora Deliyska began piano lessons at the age of five. Surrounded by music in her family, she held her first concert at the age of nine. After musical training in her Bulgarian home, she moved to the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, where she received instruction from the Professors Jürg von Vintschger and Stefan Vladar. In 2010, she graduated there with an M.A. in Prof. Noel Flores' class. The same year, she obtained her postgraduate diploma at the Oxana Yablonskaya Piano Institute in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Italy. • Her artistic development has been strongly influenced by master classes and private lessons with respected musicians such as Dmitri Alexejew, Mikhail Voskresensky, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Boris Bloch and others. Dora Deliyska is considered one of the most important Liszt interpreters of the young generation. Her discography comprises CD recordings with piano works by Franz Liszt (2008), by Liszt and Chopin (2010), transcriptions of Franz Schubert songs by Franz Liszt (2011) as well as by Franz Schubert (2013)."
