EU-only release containing the complete original LP Stan Meets Chet, pairing the great Stan Getz and Chet Baker in a quintet format. The recordings of these two masters playing together are limited to a series of 1953/54 dates taped at the Haig and the Tiffany clubs, the 1958 album presented here, a brief encounter at the 1964 Newport Jazz Festival, and a few 1983 concerts recorded during a disastrous European tour together (due to the lack of mutual understanding between the two stars). We have completed the 1958 session with extended 1954 readings of 'All the Things You Are' and 'Crazy Rhythm,' which were recorded without an audience at the Tiffany Club.

'Sketches of Spain' is an album by American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, released in 1960. Along with 'Kind of Blue', 'In a Silent Way', and 'Round About Midnight', 'Sketches of Spain' is one of Miles Davis' most enduring and innovative achievements. Recorded between November 1959 and March 1960, after Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley had left the band, Davis teamed with Canadian arranger Gil Evans for the third time. 'Sketches of Spain' is the most luxuriant and stridently romantic recording Davis ever made. To listen to it in the 21st century is still a spine-tingling experience, as one encounters a multitude of timbres, tonalities, and harmonic structures seldom found in the music called jazz.

180 gram vinyl. In a Silent Way is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, released on July 30, 1969, on Columbia Records. Produced by Teo Macero, the album was recorded in one session date on February 18, 1969, at CBS 30th Street Studio in New York City.

It combined the talents of such soloists as Miles Davis, the leader, on trumpet, Cannonball Adderley on alto sax, John Coltrane on tenor sax, Bill Evans and Wynton Kelly on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Jimmy Cobb on drums.

Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the jazz great on one CD. These are vibes player Jackson's 1972 and 1973 albums for CTI. They feature sidesmen such as Hubert Laws, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock and Freddie Hubbard. These albums were recorded whilst Jackson was still a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ), finally leaving in 1974, though they reformed in 1981. Jackson died in 1999, but he leaves behind a phenomenal catalog of albums both as a soloist and as a member of MJQ.
