Latin America's music and dances reflect a large variety of influences from the following cultures: the Iberian Peninsula; Spain and Portugal; the Tropical Forest; Native Indian; African and Mestizo (culturally and racially mixed). The music on this CD gives a flavor of the wonderful variety to be found in Latin American music. Clelia Iruzun was born in Rio de Janeiro and won her first competition at the age of seven. By the time she was sixteen she was already one of Brazil's finest pianists. She studied further in London and Paris. In particular, she has received much guidance and advice from Nelson Freire.

Classical Music

The North German Baroque Organ in the Örgryte New Church was constructed in collaboration with the North German Organ Research Project through the auspices of the Göteborg Organ Art Center (GOArt), after those of Arp Schnitger (1648-1719).
The Egger sackbuts were created in cooperation with Branimir Slokar, after replicas of models by Johann Leonard III in Ehe, Nuremburg in 1746.
