Recorded in 1970 in the legendary MPS studio, Another Day features the lesser-known trio constellation of Oscar Peterson himself on piano, George Mraz on bass, and Ray Price on drums. While Peterson, who was 45, was still at the peak of his powers and world famous in 1970, the new members of his trio were virtually unknown to his fans of the period. But especially bassist Mraz would soon grow popular himself, appear on over 200 sessions including around 20 as a leader and his endless resume included associations with Stan Getz, the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, Bill Evans, Tommy Flanagan, Joe Henderson and countless others. The Peterson-Mraz-Price trio lasted for about a year, recording this album as well as the famous Walking The Line. - .Another Day has plenty of highlights, one surely being "All The Things You Are", which is one of Peterson's most streamed tracks. The performances show that this overlooked version of the Oscar Peterson Trio could hold it's own with it's more famous predecessors. - Remastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Christoph Stickel, this release offers an intensive look into the trios' dynamic, inviting enthusiasts to finally Peterson album Another Day is an album by jazz pianist and composer Oscar Peterson, originally released in 1970.

They were recorded at the now-defunct venues Judson Hall and Slugs', the Judson Hall recording comes from the archives of Resonance founder George Klabin, then a 19-year-old student at Columbia University recorded the Judson Hall show with up-close microphone placement techniques and state-of-the-art engineering - well ahead of 1965 standards. The Slugs' performances were recorded by Bjorn von Schlebrugge, who accompanied Lloyd to his Manhattan gigs. Slugs' has been called "one of the most important jazz shrines there ever was"

Where the Sunshine Is Expensive is the 2019 album from acclaimed powerhouse trombonist/vocalist Aubrey Logan. Coined "The Queen of Sass" in the press, Logan was a featured guest on Dave Koz's #1 selling contemporary jazz album, Summer Horns II: From A to Z, and her debut solo album Impossible (2017) charted in the Top 10 on the iTunes and Billboard jazz charts. Where the Sunshine Is Expensive was recorded live at the legendary EastWest Studios in Los Angeles in front of an intimate audience and captures an exciting blend of pop, jazz and R&B tunes that tell a story about Hollywood from Logan's unique perspective. Dave Koz says, "Aubrey is that rare artist who comes along once in a very long while. She truly makes you stop in your tracks. With such a communicative voice and style and a great sense of musical adventurousness, combined with unmatched technique, there's really no emotion she can't tackle musically. She's the total package. Oh, and then there's the trombone! She's in a class all by herself.

2016 release. A reissue of Jimmy Lyons's Push Pull, originally released on Hat Hut Records in 1979. Long known as Cecil Taylor's most reliable and loyal colleague, alto saxophonist Jimmy Lyons has a select discography as a leader, and among it's best entries is Push Pull, originally issued by Hat Hut Records as a massive three LP set. Recorded during a single marathon performance at the Collective for Living Cinema in New York in 1978, Push Pull features five extended pieces, all by Lyons, with his working quintet that included his wife Karen Borca on bassoon, Hayes Burnett on bass, Munner Bernard Fennell on cello, and Roger Blank on drums. Jolting, quicksilver free jazz with terse themes and brilliant interplay, the music is quintessential Lyons - searching, pliant, and sincere. Remastered from the original tapes, this first reissue of Push Pull compiles the original tracks - two of which were split to accommodate the 20-minute limit of LP - into their original full-length, fitting the whole program onto two CDs, lovingly repackaged featuring the original Klaus Baumgrtner cover. Recorded by Karen Borca on May 6, 1978 at the Collective for Living Cinema in New York. Photos by Ken Brunton and H.L. Lindenmaier; Cover by Klaus Baumgrtner. Remastered at Experimental Sound Studio, Chicago, 2015; Tapes transferred at Chicago Mastering Service, 2015; Reissue produced by John Corbett.

Throughout his decades-long career, Oscar Peterson accomplished the near impossible: greatness with every note played and the acquisition of new generations of fans worldwide, regardless of the obstacles life threw at him. In 1994, only one year after suffering a stroke that rendered his left hand weakened, Peterson took the stage in Munich to prove to his collaborators, fans, and himself, that his earned title of "Maharaja of the keyboard" by Duke Ellington still rang true. By reinventing his playing style at 68 years old, he demonstrated his undiminished inventive prowess with an all-star band including Niels-Henning rsted Pedersen (bass), Lorne Lofsky (guitar) and Martin Drew (drums).
