The group - captured live in 2023 at acclaimed Brooklyn performance arts venue Roulette - does just that, and the result is pure Jubilation (noun; a feeling of great happiness and triumph).The release marks Hooker's fourth outing for Org Music, following Flesh and Bones (2023), Big Moon (2021), and Symphonie of Flowers (2019).

Eastern Sounds is a studio album by the jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer Yusef Lateef. It was released in April 1962 through Prestige Records on their Moodsville imprint. The recording was made in September 1961.

BREAKTHROUGH

This album represents a unique sonic collaboration between science and music. Oceanographer Joshua Jones and composer Lei Liang began exploring Arctic soundscapes in 2018, culminating in the piece Six Seasons in 2022. Violinist Marco Fusi joined the project in 2024, shaping the work into an ambitious solo performance. The project interweaves recordings of Arctic environments and marine life with musical improvisation, offering a glimpse into the remote and fragile underwater world. Through an innovative use of sound, the team has created a profound listening experience that bridges the gap between art and science, highlighting the intricate rhythms of nature.

Released in 1973, Neither One of Us, the ninth studio album by Gladys Knight & the Pips, was their most successful work, reaching No. 9 on the Billboard Top LPs chart and No. 1 on the Soul LPs chart. By the time of it's release, the group had already left Motown and signed to Buddah Records, making the title song (which peaked at No. 2 on the US Pop charts and led the R&B charts) all the more poignant. Richard Moohr's recording of Ernani in Rome for RCA in 1967 was the first stereo recording of this Opera. It featured an exceptional cast with Carlo Bergonzi and Leontyne Price under the conduction of Thomas Schippers. Since then there have been no more than four recordings of this work, and this version is still considered one of the most significant in Verdi's discography. It has not been available on the market for several years. For this reason we have made it available in our catalogue.

From an artistic point of view, Dvorak reacted with this work to the Stabat Mater by the German church musician and priest Franz Xaver Witt, the founder of the Cecilia Society, which was performed in Prague in 1875. This work, scored for only choir and organ, was a pontifically approved version of contemporary church music. In the nineteenth century, the Vatican generally supported a return to the sober a cappella style of Palestrina while being critical of orchestral sacred works. Dvorak, at the time organist at the Prague church of St. Adalbert, did not agree with this view. He had a different idea of a Catholic choral work, and his Stabat Mater is more in line with Ludwig van Beethoven's symphonic conception of the Missa solemnis

This album pays tribute to the legendary jazz pianist and Griot, Barry Harris. A Griot, rooted in West African culture, is a hereditary storyteller tasked with preserving genealogies, historical narratives, and oral traditions through praise songs. For Barry, Bebop was his sacred music, and he dedicated his life to upholding it's traditions.

The basic idea behind this album and the compositions for the 'pure' concert programme of the same name is to present the percussion instruments in their full range. The focus is on the creation of new sounds and tones and the exploration of boundaries. As a result, in addition to our classical acoustic instruments, 'pure' also utilises artificial sounds and everyday objects and elements from our environment such as water, wood and iron. Furthermore, as classically trained percussionists, it was also important to us to venture into classical pieces and reinterpret them with our instruments and, in some cases, by adding synthetic sounds and noises. For this reason, in addition to two arrangements, 'pure' features exclusively our own compositions, which will provide listeners with a completely new sound and listening experience.

The orchestra of Le Consort, in the course of it's exploration of Vivaldi, reveals the many facets of this inexhaustible cycle. To achieve this, Th�otime Langlois de Swarte has held up a subtle mirror to other works by the 'red-haired priest'. All of them perpetuate the seasons in their own way, through shared memories and impressions; in the background Lambranzi's Venetian dances complement this musical picture awash with colors.
