Mezzo-soprano Katharina Magiera has recorded several live CDs as a member of the Frankfurt Opera, and now presents this solo album accompanied by guitarist Christopher Brandt. Magiera has chosen a bouquet of Goethe lieder, set by such composers as Hugo Wolff, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Robert Schumann. This album was created in cooperation with the Goethehaus in Frankfurt, where Magiera will be presenting concerts in the future.
