This project set out to achieve two goals. First, the recreation of the Mass celebration with musical means alone, and second, the contrast of the Renaissance mass and modern day choral works. The album is divided into two parts. The first is choral works, with works by Orlando di Lasso, Ko Matsushita, Eric Whitacre and more. The second section of this album is devoted to organ works by composers such as Hassler, Frescobaldi, John Cook, and Harald Feller. Performing these works is the Carl Orff Choir, Marktoberdorf, and organist Peter Bader.
