The present album is made up of twelve piano miniatures interpreted by the pianist Grzegorz Rudny. The album is a continuation of the 2015 album About Love, works for piano (RecArt 0017). The music is illustrative and atmospheric and contains a huge dose of beautiful melodies. Even though Lukasz Pohl’s composition style is that of consequent minimalism, this album can be surprising. This is what the composer writes about his music: “In the thematic sense Stories is a tale about the multidimensional world of human emotions, which attempts to emphasize their most possible elemental meaning in the human life. The album is then a study reaching for matters which are invariable for every one of us. Thus, as a consequence, it is a subjectively assembled, but universally directed, code of cognition and recognition of a human being in their primary, extremely essential dimension […]. In a musical sense Stories is a set of twelve, minimalistically designed piano miniatures, where the dominant role is played by thematic work formed by the interweaving of the element of motif wandering with the thematically and philosophically justified factor of repetition realized against the backdrop of audible harmony. As Schopenhauer wrote: “How rich in content and full of significance the language of music is, we see from the repetitions, as well as the da capo, the like of which would be unbearable in works composed in a language of words, but in music are very appropriate and beneficial, for, in order to comprehend it fully, we must hear it twice”.” Lukasz Pohl (b. 1976) – a self-taught composer, musician, a double bass player, guitarist and composer in the Metal Notes project, and on top of that – a law professor. His philosophy as a composer is close to the premises of musical minimalism.

Trouble Hunting is a Polish - Danish quintet started in October 2010 in Odense. The band performs music of Tomasz Licak. Compositions are inspired by wide-ranging contemporary music, from jazz to classical. An important role in the work of Trouble Hunting is improvisation - not only performed by soloists but also "compositional" and collective. This gives the band's music an original sound and special, unique stylistic consistency. The music of Trouble Hunting is full of contrasts, both minimalistic and rich, narrative, and running away into abstraction. The line up is Tomasz Licak - tenor sax and clarinet, Sven Dam Meinild - alto and tenor sax, Tomasz Dabrowski - trumpet and balkan horn, Richard Andresson - bass, and Kasper Tom Christiansen - drums.

Marek Jakubowski speaks very personal about his album 'My Own...': 'My Own is fresh and prime in every way. For many years, somewhere under the skin, I felt that I need to accomplish something completly with my own music. But because of everyday reality I had to postponed my plans. Many things changed with the sudden death of my father. He was always supported me, but did not manage to meet in full the musical side of my life. This CD is honest and flows from my classical and jazz experience. My Own is dedicated to my dad. Of course, the music wouldn't sound like this if there were not two great musicians with me - Max and Adam. ' Marek Jakubowski Trio are: Marek Jakubowski (drums) - born in 1980. In 1988 he began playing the drums in the PSM in Kolo, Poland, his further education is the ZSM in Bydgoszcz and Academy of Music in Poznan (where he is lecturer now). Trained as a classical percussionist, but jazz music followed him from the beginning. It is not surprising therefore that the artistic work has always been stylistically diverse - Opera and Poznan Philharmonic, Theatre of A. Fredro in Gniezno, Bogdan Holownia Trio, Kattorna Quinted, Malta Band Festival 2010, Rysiek Bazarnik musical projects and much, much more. Adam Bieranowski (piano) - pianist, composer, arranger, born in 1993. From early years of his musical way he was interested in jazz: 'Improvised music was always important for me. It doesn't make sense for me duplicating many versions of the same interpretation. ' After 9 years of learning to play the piano at the Faculty of classical music he started to learn in the class of renowned master jazz keyboard Peter Kaluzny in Accademy of Music in Poznan. Jazz become his passion and he began to create his own music. Piotr Max Wisniewski (bass) - graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznan, session musician, collaborated with Hanna Banaszak, Anna Szarmach, Iwona Loranc, Kabareciarnia Zenona Laskowika, New Theatre in Poznan and the Polish Theatre in Szczecin. He has recorded number of CD's and television programs and participated in many jazz festiwals (e.g. Poznan Jazz Fair, Jazz Jamboree).

RecArt publishing company presents an album of 12 unreleased songs by Eugeniusz Morawski (1876-1948) perfectly performed by Agnieszka Rehlis (mezzo-soprano) and Tadeusz Domanowski (piano). This album is the first in the history of record attempt to restore the important work of Morawski - his songs with piano accompaniment. The album included 12 songs sung by Agnieszka Rehlis in four languages: Polish, German, English and French. Agnieszka Rehlis graduated with distinction from Vocal Studio at the Karol Lipi?ski Academy of Music in Wroc?aw (1996), where for three years she held scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and Art. She took first prize at the Franciszka Platówna Vocal Competition in Wroc?aw (1991) and third prize at the III Interuniversity Vocal Competition at Duszniki-Zdrój (1994). She has participated in numerous master classes given by Krystyna Szostek-Radkowa, Adele Stolte, Christian Elsner, and Gerhard Kahry, culminating in concerts of the Wratislavia Cantans Oratorio and Cantata Music Festival.

Anna Lasota - vocalist, actress, one of the best Polish voices on the musical theatre and film scene in Poland. A soloist of the Musical Theatre in Poznan, where she has performed outstanding leading roles, awarded with the Jan Kiepura Prize for the Best Musical Theatre Vocalist in 2016 and the Young Art Medal in 2019. Anna Lasota graduated from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and since the very beginning of her career she has been performing both classical and original music repertoire. The artist has been affiliated with the Musical Theatre in Poznan since 2008. She has played there leading roles in the musical theatre and operetta repertoires. She has given the performances, adored by the audience, of Adela in ‘Die Fledermaus’, Eurydice in ‘Orpheus and Eurydice’, Eliza in ‘My Fair Lady’, Eva Peron in ‘Evita’, Maria Magdalena in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ or, more recently, of Morticia in ‘The Addams Family’. Since 2011, she has participated in major film music events in Poland and Germany, each time being applauded by the audience of a dozen thousand people. Together with, inter alia, the Polish Radio Orchestra and renowned choral ensembles, she has prepared monographic concerts presenting Hans Zimmer’s or John Williams’ music. “In musical theatre and cinema, loved by Ania with a reciprocal affection, a human voice should always tell us – the audience – a story. This voice must be reliable, though fabulously flexible at the same time. Her voice is not just excellently prepared in technical terms. "Entrails United" refers to the very essence of the creative process. United is also a word that describes the strength that comes from a common musical development, playing together, communicating through music. It was created by the collision of strong personalities, for whom jazz, improvised music, is a type of binder, a common language, which they perfectly understand. The main source of inspiration is the quartet playing together, being on the stage in the sense of creating new value, which is the result of crossing their skills and exceeding the limits. The band was formed in 2012 as an initiative of drummer Radek Wo?ko. Originally a trio, which apart from the founder of the band featured two excellent Danish musicians - pianist Carl Winther and bassist Martin Buhl Staunstrup. In 2013 saxophonist Tomasz Licak joined the group and so international quartet was finally established. The two leaders had taken their first steps into jazz together for more than 10 years ago in Szczecin, and than met again in Denmark where they studied at Carl Nielsen Academy of Music in Odense.

The music scene of Paris during the reign of Louis XV could be defined as truly cosmopolitan. The change in aesthetic preferences were already observed in the works written as early as the 1700s, when French composers started to assimilate more and more willingly some elements of Italian style into their pieces. What strikes is the fact that concepts concerning the creation of a mixed style (les goûts rèunis) were primarily developed by instrumental music composers. In contrast to opera, which was naturally connected with the morphology of the language and literature of a given country, compositions lacking the semantics of a text were more suitable for the creation of a universal musical language. The figure of Boismortier can be described as French Telemann. Similarly to his German counterpart, he favored the idea of a mixed style and experimented with unorthodox instrumentation solutions. Boismortier was also one of the first composers that did not have a wealthy patron or protector, living off his works solely. He owed that position to the royal prerogative (1724) to print and sell sheet music, which helped him to avoid the necessity of working as a teacher or seeking employment as an instrumentalist in one of numerous court ensembles. This new recording is the first complete album of Boismortier’s suites performed on the recorder solo.

‘Filatura di Musica’ is an ensemble specializing in historically informed performance. It consists of musicians who graduated from prestigious art schools: Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, Koninklijk Conservatorium in the Hague, Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen or Conservatoire de Musique in Grenoble. Artistic pursuits of the ensemble cover two areas of repertoire. The first is Renaissance and early Baroque music, performed in the typical of this period high pitch (a1= 465 Hz). The core instrumental ensemble is a consort, the varied body of which (recorders and traverso flutes, vielle/violin, violas da gamba) contributes to expressive demonstration of arabesque melodic lines of the 16th-century polyphony and concertante dialoguing in canzonas and sonatas from early 17th century. This is complemented with singing and the sound of keyboard instruments (virginal/positive organ).

Magdalena Pilch graduated in 1997 from the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw, where she studied the flute with Grzegorz Olkiewicz. From 1998 to 2002, she attended postgraduate studies in the baroque flute at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen (Germany) under Linde Brunmayr–Tutz. In 2013 she completed the habilitation process at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, with a thesis: The comprehensive conception of the romantic flute, in aspects of construction, sound, technique and performance practice, according to ‘Die Kunst des Flötenspiels in theoretisch–praktischer Beziehung dargestellt von A. B. Fürstenau’ Op. 138. Since 2000 she has taught the baroque flute at the Karol Lipinski Academy of Music in Wroclaw, and since 2009 she has been an assistant professor at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lódz. She plays Renaissance, baroque, classical and Romantic flutes. She is a co-founder of the first Polish consort of Renaissance transverse flutes, Epithalamion. The works on this new release consist of pieces by Carl Czerny, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Carl Maria von Weber.

It is a challenge for any young ensemble recording their debut album to choose compositions, the interpretation of which has to be an artistic showcase. The extraordinary richness of the classical string quartet music, youthful passions and fascinations, as well as a sense of uniqueness can all be found in the works presented by the Diverso String Quartet in their debut album. The obvious common factor are the Polish qualities, however in a particularly attractive form. All three compositions are indeed milestones in the development of Polish chamber music. The 19th century was extremely fertile in the world of chamber music, but it did not find potent ground within Polish music. That impression cannot be questioned apart from exceptional works such as Juliusz Zarebski’s Piano Quintet. Gates to that world were only opened at the beginning of the 20th century, due to two sole, however very significant chamber music works by Karol Szymanowski. It is Szymanowski’s First String Quartet that opens Diverso’s recording. This work is the first outstanding string quartet in Polish music, which opened world stages to Polish chamber music. It can be said that Szymanowski with his First String Quartet began the nationalistic period, which crucially influenced the next generation of Polish composers. These influences can be found within the rich creations by the outstanding female composer, Grazyna Bacewicz. Her chamber music has formed part of the Diverso’s repertoire, not only due to Diverso being a predominantly female group. The recording is completed with Andrzej Panufnik’s Third String Quartet ‘Paper-cuts’. Already the title of this work, written in 1991 highlights its Polish character, and by definition its Polish qualities are brought to the world.

How do you contain the deepest feelings in the simplest melodies? How do you make music touch, convey emotions and express love? The answers to these questions can be found on the new record with compositions by ?ukasz Pohl, released by RecArt (catalogue no. 0017). Fourteen piano miniatures performed by Grzegorz Rudny will guide the listener through different types of musical love – from joy to sadness, from sympathy to indifference, from simple love to complex love. The album is dedicated to the memory of James Horner. Grzegorz Rudny graduated in 2013 from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Pozna?, piano class of professor Waldemar Andrzejewski. He gave concerts in numerous Polish cities, as well as in Italy, France, Germany, Russia and Austria, including performances at the 41st International Contemporary Music Festival “Pozna? Musical Spring”, 3rd and 5th International Flute Festival in Pozna? and 11th Polish-Russian Arts Festival in Moscow.
