Many words were spent on the long and fruitful collaboration between Piero Umilani and the director Luigi Scattini. Recently, new light has been shed on some of their works. The present release has been produced for a particular utilization in the background music field, with a score based on a single theme which is performed various times with different atmospheres. The two basic themes, in their first performance present a modern, actual, quite intense but not dramatic feature. Some of the best Italian musicians of the time are featured on this recording, including Cicci Santucci, Sam Genovese, Roberto Scoppa, Enrico Pieranunzi, Franco D’Andrea, Bruno Tommaso, Gege Munari, Carlo Coppotelli, and Antonello Vannucchi.
