Eli Storbekken takes us back in time with an adventurous mix of folk and jazz. She has gone deeply into the Nordic repertoire of older melodies and has found the songs that are closest to her heart. With four albums behind her, and no plans to put on the brakes, Storbekken is now giving new life to some of our old and beloved folk-tunes. On this release, we find everything from medieval ballads, broadside ballads and songs about love and interpersonal relationships. Sigurd Hole has arranged the songs on this album, an album with its own musical expression to the encounter between the present and the past.
