Joseph Haas (1879-1960), an early 20th c. student of Max Reger, later professor of music in Stuttgart and Munich, and co-founder, with Paul Hindemith and others, of the "Donaueschinger internationalen Kammermusikfeste f�r Neue Musik", was a late-Romantic composer of clear tonal leaning. This version of Das Lebensbuch Gottes, op. 87 (1934) for Women's Choir, Solos, Organ, Piano and small Orchestra was arranged by the composer himself.Winner of multiple awards, the M�nchner Frauenchor and it's director chose to perform and record this work for their 25th anniversary celebration.
