Horizontes Mexicanos / Trio d'Argent
The three great French flutists that make up the Trio d’Argent: Francois Daudin Clavaud, Michel Boizot and Xavier Saint-Bonnet have spent the greater part of their lives making music together and sharing travel and adventure. In 1984 they made the decision not to follow the traditional path of joining an orchestra or become professors. This decision has allowed them not only to perform in more than 1500 concerts and recitals around the world, but also to greatly enlarge (literally and allegorically) their horizons. Only by assuming this risk they have been able to achieve an abundant professional and human interaction, both in France and in many other countries, which has led to artistic complicities with musicians and composers of every genre, as well as artists from other disciplines. Some of them have worked beside them in creating new repertoire for this instrumental combination and in particular multidisciplinary shows, where the scenery takes a leading role. This aspect of their work is of paramount importance to them since 1992, since they are convinced that it is a way to introduce audiences to the magical world of contemporary music. All works in the program are dedicated to the ensemble by some of the greatest composers of the music scene in Mexico, and all are world premiere recordings.
