The compositions of Fazil Say belong to the key works of Turkish music of the 21st century. The classical music of the Occident, jazz improvisations as well as elements of oriental folk music and Turkish music inspire his work. Fazil Say, who lives in Istanbul, celebrates great success all over the world with his very effective, distinctive sounds, both as a composer and as a pianist. Fazil Say writes numerous compositions for the piano duo of the twin sisters Ferhan & Ferzan Onder. In 2013 Ferhan & Ferzan Onder presented the world premiere of the composition "Winter Morning in Istanbul" in Berlin. The "Concerto for two pianos and orchestra" op. 48 was also created for them under the working title "Twins" in 2013, at a time when protests were shocking Turkey. In 2018 Fazil Say wrote for Ferhan & Ferzan Onder the "Sonata for two pianos" op. 80 for the Louis Vuitton Foundation. This composition was the missing piece in the mosaic to realize this concept album "Ferhan & Ferzan onder play Fazil Say."

Fumio Yasuda (composition) and Stefan Winter (sound art) conceive a trilogy based on Ludwig van in the timbres “Infinite Blue”, “Deep Green” and “Zone Red”. The Ninth Wave is about the beauty of nature and the tragedy of the human within it. "Beethoven as a total work of art" was the headline in the Seuddeutsche Zeitung when "The Ninth Wave" was produced in Munich. Beethoven's oeuvre, Géricault's "Medusa's Raft" and Dante's "Divine Comedy" are to blame for this work ... but there is also a concrete trigger: the tragedy off Lampedusa on October 3, 2013.

The premiere of Mozart’s Quintet for piano and winds must have been a shock and at the same time a delight for the audience of the 18th century. The immense richness of colors and sounds were entirely unusual. Mozart had been searching for new challenges and was rewarded. After the premier on April 1st, 1784 Mozart has written to his father: "I myself consider it to be the best thing I have written in my life." Mozart celebrated one of the greatest triumphs of his career. For the first time the near-orchestral rich sonorities, the masterful harmony and the continuing and vigorous dialogue of the oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon in relation to the piano was heard. Only thirteen years later Beethoven used the same unusual combination of instruments. His quintet for piano and winds was also premiered in Vienna on April 6, 1797. Both artists chose to compose for an entire unique and by that date unknown instrumentation and each had his own musical approach. Under the group name "Die Freitagsakademie" Katharina Suske gathered some of the finest international artists: Edoardo Torbianelli, Katharina Suske, Pierre-André Taillard, Olivier Darbellay and Lyndon Watt. These five musicians, each with their own unique character, blend together and reciprocally influence each other to create a single flowing sound body and impresses with their entirely new, dynamic interpretation. The unusual instrumentation is recorded in an exceptional way using just one special microphone to capture the beauty of this unique sound experience, the high art of the Wiener Klassik.

For almost his entire life, Bela Bartok's music was unnoticed by the general public, this extraordinary composer created a unique cosmos of Hungarian/Southeast European folk and art music. Like Schonberg and Stravinsky, he is one of the protagonists of 20th century music. A few years after his death, his music became a bestseller and this success is once again reaching unimagined heights in our time.
