The present extensive release contains 8 recordings of solo works, 10 recordings of orchestral works, and 5 recordings of sacred works by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750), recorded by world-famous musicians such as Glenn Gould, Jan Vogler, Gustav Leonhardt, James Galway, Murray Perahia, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and many more. The most famous works by J. S. Bach like the Christmas Oratorio, the St. Matthew Passion, The Well Tempered Clavier, the Goldberg Variations or the Violin Concertos built the essence of this release and are completed with not as popular repertoire such as the Flute Concerto, the Mass in B Minor and Esa-Pekka Salonen's recordings of Orchestral Arrangements.
