Hungaroton’s Bartok New Series continues here after its five year hiatus, featuring Bartok’s Choral works. Most of these compositions are based on folk songs or folk stories, and are presented here in their original language to preserve the beauty and flow of each piece. The Hungarian National Choir and Slovak Philharmonic Choir are conducted for this release by Zoltan Kocsis, renowned Hungarian conductor, composer, and virtuoso pianist. He currently serves as music director at the Hungarian National Philharmonic.
