This new album presents works by Beethoven and his pupil, Ferdinand Ries. The pieces performed here include Ries’ Sonate op. 20, and Trois Airs Russes Varies, op. 72, and Beethoven’s Sonate op. 5 no. 1. This album is the product of the collaboration between cellist Juris Teichmanis, and pianist Hansjacob Staemmler.
