This new release is Berlin-based saxophonist Ruth Velten’s debut release with GENIUN. A versatile musician, she has compiled modern classics like New York Counterpoint by Steve Reich with 21st century gems like Jodlowski’s Mixtion. Especially notable is the inclusion of Gordon Kampe’s work, Ruth’s Piece, which was written for the saxophonist herself, and is receiving its world premiere recording here.
