What does the taming of fire or the swarm of drones sound like, and what do slavery, the industrial revolution or artificial intelligence have to do with each other? What future awaits mankind and will it survive in a world so dramatically transformed, somewhere between digital illusion and real problems such as excess waste? The "Elements" Symphony by Pawel Pudlo is indeed a large-scale undertaking. The composer created a complete work in which the music describes the world and it's history. The author takes listeners on a 60-minute musical journey telling the story of man, from the beginning of coexistence with nature, through technological inventions, all the way to feeling lost in the digital world. The musical language used by the composer involves a symphony orchestra, choirs singing in Swahili and Latin, as well as ethnic and electronic instruments. The album conveys a pro-environmental message while being a work of epic composition. The introduction to the album has been written by a Polish climate physicist and journalist (calling for zero CO2 emissions by 2050) and the director of the Polish UNEP Center - GRID (United Nations Environmental Program). The booklet contains graphics created by the composer himself which describe - in a visual form - each part of this extraordinary symphony. "Elements" is an inspiration to reflect upon all of us and the responsibility for the generations to come. It is a symphony for the future of our planet.
