This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.

This new Ondine recording contains Olivier Messiaen’s (1908-1992) magnum opus from the 1940s, the large-scale Turangalîla-Symphonie conducted by Hannu Lintu. The recording features the renowned pianist Angela Hewitt as well as Valérie Hartmann-Claverie, who plays the rare electro-acoustic ondes Martenot. This release follows Lintu’s and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra’s recording of Ligeti’s Violin Concerto and once again showcases Lintu’s skill with 20th century composers.
