This new release is devoted to the genre of the symphonic poem. Two of the finest composers of this genre are featured: Alexander von Zemlinsky and Richard Strauss. Despite the light nature of these works, the compositions are impressively virtuosic. Performing these works is the Orchestre Philharmonique Du Luxembourg conducted by Emmanuel Krivine.
