Teresa Milanollo (1827-1904) was an Italian violin-playing child prodigy. She, along with her younger sister Maria, toured Europe during the 1840s, taking their audiences by storm. Along with a long solo career, Teresa also saw fame as a composer, as is seen in this album, which contains seven of Teresa’s works. Born in 1984, Valentina Busso studied first with Dora Schwarzberg and later at the Hochschule fur Musik in Frankfurt Markus Daeunert. Busso is joined for this recording by renowned accompanist Eliana Grasso.
