The theme of the Colner Barockorchester’s debut Coviello album is music of the heavens. In music, the ‘heavenly’ has always been referenced as a positive contrast to the hardships of life on earth. This album features works from Georg Muffat, Elisabeth-Claude Jaquet de la Guerre, and Georg Philipp Telemann. The members of the Colner Baroque Orchestra are all graduates of the Early Music program at the Cologne University Music and Dance, where they first met and began making music together.
