With the release of this new album, ‘Tracks,’ one of Norway’s major artists celebrates 50 years on stage. In his 50 years as performing artist, Bjøro has sold more than 4 million records. Billing himself as "the Norwegian Cowboy", Bjøro, who hails from Kristiansand, Norway, has become an international country singing sensation. Not your typical Norwegian listening fare back in Bjøro's earlier years. Bjøro was around 9 years of age when he heard his first country music song - via a record his brother was playing. After that, he was hooked! His first stage appearance was as a teenager. The song? "I Can't Stop Loving You" by Don Gibson. When his fellow Norwegians heard him sing, they, too, were hooked!
