The keyed fiddle and the Hardanger fiddle alike conjure up a feeling of nationalism among the Swedish and Norwegian people, as these instruments are a large part of traditional folk music. Erik Rydvall and Olav Luksengard Mjelva are considered among the leading folk musicians of their generation. The duo released their debut album in 2013 to outstanding reviews. This new release was recorded at Al Church in Hallingdal. The repertoire chosen consists of traditional Swedish and Norwegian songs paired with the performers’ own compositions.
