This new release is volume 62 in the prestigious series, “Jazz thing Next Generation,” and features Turn Trio. The ensemble’s goal is to embark in a different direction with no holding back. Virtuosity collides with energy and new ideas. Turn is made up of bassist Florian Herzog, pianist Joni Hofmeister, and percussionist Jan Brill. They cite influences from Mehldau, Svensson or Erskine, and cross genres with their usage of rock, pop, and electronics.
