Wolfgang Sawallisch (1923-February 22, 2013) was a world-renowned conductor, invited to appear with top orchestras in Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, Philadelphia, Vienna and Tel Aviv. With this box set we celebrate his memory, with five recordings of him conducting Mozart, Schubert, Haydn, Mendelssohn and Orff.
