Hank Mobley is a highly regarded Blue Note tenor saxophonist known for his warm, lyrical tone and understated sophistication. 'Workout' and 'Soul Station' are considered among his finest recordings. A key figure in Hard Bop though somewhat underappreciated relative to contemporaries.
