Reynaldo Hahn was a Venezuelan-born French composer best known for his mélodies and operettas. Closely associated with the Belle Époque salon culture and the circle of Marcel Proust. Ciboulette is his most celebrated operetta; his art songs are his primary legacy. 'intimate' applies here as a genuine chamber/art-song specialist.
