Also available as a DVD, the concert delivers an overview of popular music, with jazz standards like "I've Got You Under My Skin" right alongside "Ave Maria" and Sting's "If I Ever Lose My Faith in You." Following a massive year of touring, including 2013's inaugural Frampton's Guitar Circus, Frampton is back on the road this summer. This time he will set out on a three-part catch-all tour including select solo dates, a co-headlining run with Grammy-winning American rock legends the Doobie Brothers and the return of Frampton's Guitar Circus. Stylings and trademark engaging sinuous vocals. Jonathan was fortunate to enjoy both writing and playing with the late George Duke along with bass great Marcus Miller. The third album from Fourplay (Lee Ritenour, Nathan East, Bob James, and Harvey Mason) is a lightly sauteed jazz offering, low-key and relaxed, bringing a sublime sense of form and interplay to the contemporary jazz genre. Vocals this time feature Phil Collins, Nathan East, Patti Austin and Peabo Bryson (the latter two on a smooth version of The Closer I Get to You). Phil Collins adds his special touch on the vocals of the track that he wrote, Why Can 't It Wait Till Morning, a poignant and beautiful song. Tracks in this album are a good mixture of upbeat and reflective. Ritenour's flexible guitar playing is one of the gems of the album, and this is the last album with him in the team. Elixir was the third gold album from Fourplay and it reached the number one position on Billboard's contemporary jazz chart and remained on the chart for more than 90 weeks.
2010 from the acclaimed guitarist and vocalist. So Strong is simply put- so strong! The first single (and title track) already made an impact at Urban Adult Contemporary and is a marvelous, hip slice of his powerful vocals over an infectious, driving rhythm. Smooth Jazz radio gets a taste too with the Benson-esque "Make Room for Me" and the inspirational "You Got to Believe Something" is a musical credo that won't let you down. So Strong, we hope you will agree, isn't just worth the wait, it's worth the weight in soul.

Jonathan Butler began his singing career at age 7, releasing his first album in 1973 and winning the Best New Artist Grammy in South Africa the following year at age 12. He made history by being the first black artist played on white South African radio while earning three gold records in 1975 as he became a teenager. More than a decade later, Butler moved to London, England after signing with Jive Records and released his first album internationally. The self-titled set went gold in 1987 in the United Kingdom and in the USA. He received Grammy nominations for Best R&B Song for his R&B-pop vocal hit “Lies” and for Best Jazz Song for the instrumental “Going Home.” His genre-busting material earned songwriter’s awards and received abundant airplay in multiple radio formats: pop, urban, contemporary jazz, adult contemporary and gospel. Of his new release, Close to You, Butler writes, “This record was inspired by my fiancé Nadira Kimberly. At home one night, we played and sang together as we listened to “Close to You” by the amazing Burt Bacharach. This really opened the door for me to do this amazing man’s music. In 1975 I was 13 years old when my first single was released, “Please Stay” by none other than Burt Bacharach. It's like I've come full circle.”

Featuring special guests Keb’ Mo’ and Stevie Wonder, the new album serves both as a rebirth of musical creativity and reconciliation with systemically biased history to forge a brighter future.
