Pierre Elie Ferrier and Marc-Olivier Dupin offer us a committed musical work that evokes with humanism and accuracy the fate of migrants on Earth. Currently director of France Musique, Marc-Olivier Dupin began his illustrious career at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris where he took many glittering prizes. Best described as a symphonic composer, he has written operas, music for ballet, film and theatre notably compositions for Brigitte Jacques' theatrical productions from which most of his Cezame pieces are selected. He was head of several conservatoires before being nominated Directeur du Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM) He has been musical advisor to the minister for culture and is director of the Ile de France National Orchestra.

The Orchestre National de France celebrates eighty years of historic concerts and illustrious performers with this specially-priced eight disc boxed set. Presented by Radio France in collaboration with the Institut National de L'audiovisuel, this valuable memento contains ten hours of superb live broadcasts and stage performances meticulously restored and remastered in high resolution from previously unreleased radio archives.

The present release presents a musical fairy-tale, including songs of Marina Cedro performed by musicians of the Orchestre Philharmonique of Radio France, to an original story by Jean-Luc Fromental. “Once upon a time a little girl called Joséphine was living in the heart of the forest. Whatever was she doing in such a dark place, this little girl with a complexion as rosy as the dawn? A question that calls for an explanation… One fine morning, Joséphine was awakened by a melody as gentle as the rising sun, played on a flute at the door of her hut…The boy playing was called Nicolas, a pretty little dog dancing in his footsteps. “Don’t you get bored all alone in here?” asks Nicolas. “No, everything’s fine. Sometimes I miss a little music”."
