Chet Baker is highly regarded as one of jazz's greatest trumpet players recording numerous albums over his 35-year recording career. Recorded in in 1969, Albert's House features 11 instrumental compositions by Steve Allen who produced the recording session to assist Baker in restarting his career after a horrific dental injury in '68. The LP hasn't been in release for vinyl reissue for years.

Following the success of his vocal debut Chet Baker Sings in 1954, Pacific Jazz brought the rising star trumpeter back into the studio for the sequel Chet Baker Sings and Plays which showcased both sides of Baker's artistry on a set of standards including his timeless rendition of "Let's Get Lost." This mono Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes.

Blue Room: The 1979 VARA Studio Sessions in Holland features 2 recordings of Chet Baker at the VARA Studio 2 in Hilversum, the Netherlands for the KRO Radio program Nine O'Clock Jazz. The November 9th session features Frans Elsen (piano), Victor Kaihatu (bass) and Eric Ineke (drums).

In Tokyo, Collector's Edition by Chet Baker is a live album released as part of the KING SUPER JAZZ 50 COLLECTION, a special series in which King Records' long established jazz label Paddle Wheel presents 50 carefully selected masterpieces at a new price, covering both international and Japanese jazz and showcasing essential artists whose performances and recordings are indispensable to the history of jazz, all newly remastered to restore their original vibrancy, and this title captures the miraculous and deeply moving performance from Baker's June 14, 1987 concert in Tokyo, recorded during his emotional Japan tour and preserved here as a rare live document, with the release also including a 5 to 1 present application ticket enclosed, which could be collected across all 50 titles in the series to apply for one free title of choice, noting that the original application deadline was postmarked by the end of May 2016.

Since it's establishment in 1962 as a subsidiary label of Mercury Records, Limelight Records has produced hidden masterpieces by Oscar Peterson, Art Blakey, Eric Dolphy, and others. This time, we have selected 10 of the label's best and rarest recordings and reissued them on UHQCD. Live at Nick's was recorded in November 1978, however it wouldn't see the light until 1987, a year before Chet's untimely death. It finds the trumpeter in the company of New York-born pianist Phil Markowitz, with whom he had started working in February of that same year. He toured Europe with Chet in 1978 and 1979 and recorded with him for the last time at New York's Fat Tuesday's in 1981. The complete album plus 2 bonus tracks is now available for the first time on 180g virgin vinyl.

This song by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart is a classic, and Chet Baker's interpretations will forever be part of musical history. This album features two unique vocal and instrumental interpretations of the same song, magnified by Chet's fragile voice and gentle trumpet, as well as some great jazz standards.
