Chet Baker At George Jazzcafe was recorded live in 1983 at George Jazzcafe in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and at New Morning, Paris France. Dutch Jazz pioneers Wim and Ria Wigt had the privilege of supporting Chet's lifestyle by offering him a steady series of concerts that suited his way of living and traveling. The line-up often changed, depending on the tour. These four live recordings were made during a memorable run with two outstanding musicians from Copenhagen: veteran pianist Duke Jordan and bassist Jesper Lundgaard. The album offers a first selection from the tapes of a tour which took place at George Jazzcafe in Arnhem and New Morning in Paris. Chet Baker performs "Walkin'," "Solar" (written by Miles Davis) and "Star Eyes" all three recorded at George Jazzcafe as well as "September Song" recorded at New Morning. All tracks are available on CD for the first time. The immensely talented Chet Baker had a complex relationship with the music scene and after almost 20 years of performing he withdrew from the business. In 1973 he vowed to make a comeback, returning to the straight-ahead jazz that started his career. She Was Too Good To Me was released in 1974 by Creed Taylor's legendary CTI label, by then home to Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, Deodato and many others, and is considered Baker's comeback album. This record is indeed a beautiful homage to the bop sound of the early 50s but with the unmistakeable forward-thinking attitude for which CTI became famous. Bob James here plays on electric piano for example, injecting a dose of funk into the tunes to move them into the 70s zeitgeist. As always, Baker employed a star-studded lineup consisting among others of Ron Carter on bass, Jack DeJohnette on drums (both alumni of Miles' fusion period), Paul Desmond on alto saxophone and Hubert Laws on flute. This song by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart is a classic, and Chet Baker's interpretations will forever be part of musical history. In Perfect Harmony: The Lost Album is a previously unreleased studio album from West Coast trumpet icons Chet Baker and Jack Sheldon. Recorded in Tustin, California, in 1972 with pianist David Frishberg, bassist Joe Mondragon, drummer Nick Ceroli and guitarist Jack Marshall.

Recorded in London in September 1979 with Jean Paul Florens on guitar, Henri Florens on piano, Jim Richardson on bass and Tony Mann on drums, this album features the only studio version of Round' Midnight by Chet Baker. It also includes 2 alternative versions of My Funny Valentine, entirely instrumental and very intimate. The version of "All Blues" (Miles Davis) features Rachel Gould on vocals. Live at Nick's was recorded in November 1978, however it wouldn't see the light until 1987, a year before Chet's untimely death. It finds the trumpeter in the company of New York-born pianist Phil Markowitz, with whom he had started working in February of that same year. He toured Europe with Chet in 1978 and 1979 and recorded with him for the last time at New York's Fat Tuesday's in 1981. The complete album plus 2 bonus tracks is now available for the first time on 180g virgin vinyl.

Chet Baker is highly regarded as one of jazz's greatest trumpet players recording numerous albums over his 35-year recording career. Recorded in in 1969, Albert's House features 11 instrumental compositions by Steve Allen who produced the recording session to assist Baker in restarting his career after a horrific dental injury in '68. The LP hasn't been in release for vinyl reissue for years.
