SWR Big Band and Fola Dada have been successful collaborators for many years and with their new studio album As We Speak they broaden their swing repertoire to include the 1960s. After a short stay in New York, Dexter returned to his favourite city of Copenhagen in June 1965 and resumed his career’s best and most productive period. This second volume of electrifying live recording finds Dexter with his all-time favourite rhythm section.

Saxophonist Sigurdur Flosason has been one of Icelands most active jazz musicians for the past decades. Through out his career he's cooperated with some of Scandinavia's finest musicians. On his latest release, Blue shoes, his partners are Danes Kjeld Lauritsen on Hammond organ and Kristian Leth on drums, both of whom he has cooperated with on previous releases. New to the mix is the outstanding Swedish guitarist Erik Soderlind. On a few tracks they are joined by Danish percussion master Birger Sulsbruck. The music, all Flosason's originals, is a cross between jazz and blues with a personal and nordic twist. The album was recorded at Village recording in Copenhagen during the summer of 2025. Sigurdur Flosason has recorded over thirty CDs and is a multiple winner of the Icelandic music awards.

Saxophone master James Carter makes his Blue Note debut with James Carter Organ Trio: Live From Newport Jazz-his first new release since 2011. A soulfully robust dispatch from America's most storied jazz festival, it's also a follow-up of sorts to his acclaimed 2000 album Chasin' the Gypsy that The New Yorker called "an alternately reverent and audacious tribute to the Belgian swing-guitar legend Django Reinhardt. Mingus's second Impulse! album, released in 1963, was another large-ensemble masterpiece featuring two of the bassist/bandleader's greatest compositions 'Celia' and 'Better Get Hit in Yo' Soul' - plus a famous version of Duke Ellington's 'Mood Indigo.'
