Kenneth Gilbert is a distinguished Canadian harpsichordist and scholar closely associated with the Early Music Revival, known especially for his authoritative editions and recordings of Bach, Rameau, Clérambault, and Soler. Contemplative and serene are appropriate given the meditative, introspective nature of solo harpsichord repertoire.
