With "My World is the Sun", Dominique Fils-Aim� seeks to dissolve expectations and invite listeners into an artistic space defined not by genre or market demands, but by presence, intuition, and emotional resonance. It is a project that reflects her commitment to freedom - sonic, creative, and spiritual - and her desire to create from a place of honesty and vulnerability. In "My World is the Sun", Dominique Fils-Aim� enters the second chapter of her second trilogy, a collection of introspective and intuitive work that began with "Our Roots Run Deep" (2023).

Performing the music of Mozart is like trying to tell a story everyone knows and has heard many times as if it were the very first time it has been told. It is a combination of musical pleasure and a wealth of variation in it's execution. The Concerto for violin nr. 3 in G major was composed in Salzburg in 1775, when Mozart was 19 years of age. We know from his letters that Mozart dreaded the first performance of the work by Concert Master Antonio Brunetti, who, according to Mozart was a blunt, reeking, mediocre violinist. He was however, greatly relieved when Frans Xaver Kolb performed the premiere instead. Kolb was a considerably more accomplished (and probably less offensive-smelling) violinist. The G major Concerto has always been a personal favorite of mine, and together with Rebaroque, I consider it a privilege to make it "ours," To tell, with our own eyes, ears and Jonas Dominique's fantastic wind arrangements, such a beautiful and moving story as this.

Liszt combined the whirlwind life of a virtuoso traveling all over Europe with a deep attachment to the Catholic faith and the Church. While his brilliant technique and fiery interpretations made him an unparalleled virtuoso, his sacred music, for which he was less well known, represented what was dearest in his own eyes. From 1856 onwards, he devoted himself more particularly to this field and set about reforming religious music in order to restore it to it's rightful place of honor, capable of meeting the demands of conveying the divine message and mystery. His musical discourse becomes sparer but is also profoundly innovative, with many individual turns of language and harmonic daring. Dominique Vellard turns his attention here to the lesser-known works of this period, such as the Septem sacramenta or Pater noster, which exude the same serenity, the same feeling of peace and light.
