Med lust och f�gring stor or "With Joy and Beauty Great" includes folk songs and ley songs, love songs and lullabies, selected and performed by the choir Ymna. The works were arranged by conductor Johanna Thur and violinist Mia Marin is featured in the pieces. The album includes songs sung and inherited by women over centuries, as well as songs that have just recently entered the world. This music holds beauty, joy, warmth, longing, sorrow, and comfort. The choir Ymna has worked extensively with folk music for many years. Johanna Thur continuously writes new arrangements for the choir. Mia Marin is a well-known name in the both traditional and contemporary folk genres. Her signature style is energetic and improvisational, and she tours all over the world playing in different venues.

Lasse Lindgren writes of his new release: "Spirits 1 was a tribute to Maynard Ferguson, one of my great trumpet heroes. We were able to record this thanks to my very good friend and manager Ernie Garside and my "Big Constellation". When it became apparent that Ernie was in possession of a large collection of unrecorded MF-material, the idea was born for a follow-up album. It turned out to be a brilliant mix of arrangements that was not only enough for one but even a double album and so I thought, OK why not? My goal is to play the music in my own way, in a personal, creative process. I am not trying to be MF or copy him, which would be both impossible and uninteresting. I just want to be myself and, together with wonderful fellow- musicians, help to keep the music alive, as it rightly deserves. Maynard was often called "The Fox", so here it is - SPIRITS 2 - THE UNRECORDED FOX."

This is an album of lyrical piano music written mostly by Tommy Kotter. It contains beautiful melodies in the tradition of jazz, classical and folk music. The season-poems (all composed in their corresponding season) are small classical piano compositions that are samplings of impressionistic piano writing. Most of the pieces are ballads and waltzes colored with "jazz and cocktails" and sometimes maybe you can hear inspiration from Erik Satie or other impressionistic composers. Composer and piano player Tommy Kotter likes to work with rare rhythms and mixes influences from many sources. The melodies are often played quietly but intensity increases gradually. The piano solos have ardor and devotion. He regularly performs with his septet, Tommy Kotter Unit.

This new release features music composed and arranged by legendary jazz pianist Ronny Johansson. In his liner notes, he writes to his listeners: "Hi, I took a time out from my trio to celebrate my 75th birthday with a recording in a new setting. I found guitarist Rolf Jardemark, a new acquaintance for me and he really made justice to my selected songs. Matz Nilsson on bass and Michael Andersson, drums and percussion, I knew and played with already in the eighties. We went into the world famous Nilento Studio, run by master Lars Nilsson. He gave us a fantastic sound and everything went smoothly with first takes only. I'm very happy and I'm sure you will be too, so just enjoy!" Ronny Johansson made his jazz debut in 1961 in Uppsala, where he grew up. Afterward, he went on to play with musicians like Bo Sylven, Lars Gullin, Rolf Ericson, Art Farmer, and Gilbert Holmstrom's group Mount Everest. The Ronny Johnasson Trio was formed in 1995 and has released six albums since 2002.

70s jazz left us with some beautiful melodies and harmonies, but compared to previous decades they were few and far between. Jazz was busy with so many other things in the 70s. On this album four of Sweden's top shelf players explore seven of these scarce 70s compositions by Chick Corea, Bill Evans, and other jazz greats. All four started their life-long jazz journey as kids in the 70s. This album's instrumentation probably is a first-time-ever in jazz: guitar, double bass, drums, and a cello as soloist and main melodic carrier. The album was recorded and mixed in 2018 at Carpenter Road Studios in Pite� by Tomas Johannesson, and mastered at Nilento Studio by Lars Nilsson. It is released on the label Nilento Records.

The Life Guard's Dragoon Music Corps (Livgardets dragonmusikkar, LDK) along with the Association of the Beridna Hogvakten present this release, "Musik till hast" or "Music to Horse." One of the three professional military bands in the Swedish Armed Forces, the Life Guard's Dragoon Music Corps traces it's ancestry back to the 1500s when King Gustav Vasa raised his first regiment of horses. Today, they are one of the few mounted bands in the world. The band rides at the head of the Life Guards through Stockholm when mounting the King's Guard and the parade is considered one of Sweden's main tourist attractions. The Corps consists today of 30 professional musicians who, under the artistic direction of David Bjorkman, are constantly developing their repertoire and musical quality. The hope of the ensemble is that this release will share their unique musical experience with all parts of the globe.

Georg Riedel writes of his new release: "During the fifties and the sixties it was common for jazz groups to include four or five horns. When rock music became the music of the new generation, this type of composition was seen less and less. Due to it's rarity it is an exciting opportunity to, after all these years, write music for that very composition again." This album features music written for this unique and rarely heard instrumentation composed entirely by Georg Riedel. Georg Riedel is a Swedish double bassist and composer. He migrated to Sweden at age four, and attended school in Stockholm. Riedel's profile as a composer derives almost exclusively from writing music for Astrid Lindgren films, including the main theme from the Emil of Maple Hills movies. He also composed the music for several films by Arne Mattsson in the 1960s as well as for film adaptations of novels by Stig Dagerman.

Claude Debussy's four master pieces- Estampes, Images 1, Images 2 and Suite Bergamasque- are assembled in a new recording by the Swedish pianist Bernt Wilhelmsson. Bernt Wilhelmsson made his solo debut with The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in 1997 and is now internationally active. He grew up on the island of Orust along the West Coast of Sweden, surrounded by barren nature and the ocean, and has always felt a fascination and closeness to Debussy's dreamlike piano music with it's descriptions of nature. "Debussy's music is a treasure I carry with me, that has enriched my musical life in an immeasurable way with it's fantasy, colorfulness and poetic tone language."Bernt Wilhelmsson has a Soloist Diploma from The Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where he is now Associate Professor in piano and musical interpretation. He has been touring the US, South America and Europe as a soloist and chamber musician. Bernt has also recorded the album "Swedish Piano Romanticism" containing Swedish piano music by Wilhelm Stenhammar and Emil Sj�gren.

Oskar Lindstr�m is one of Sweden�s most captivating young pianists and composers. After being nominated by Swedish national radio as "newcomer of the year" in 2017, he now releases his debut album as a leader. "Fugue" exclusively features Lindstr�m's distinctly lyrical original compositions, drawing inspiration from the strong tradition of Nordic piano trios as well as folk music and chorales. Alongside Lindstr�m's personal and precise touch on the piano, fellow Swedish musicians Eirik Lund and Filip Olofsson, who have backgrounds in various styles of music apart from jazz, offer an intriguing addition to the musical discourse. The album was recorded at the renowned Nilento studio outside Gothenburg in the early spring of 2018 with recording engineers Michael Dahlvid and Joar Hallgren and mix and mastering by Michael Dahlvid and Lars Nilsson.

Critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Hannah Svensson releases a new album: "Places and dreams" which consists of newly composed material by Hannah as well as interpretations by Joni Mitchell and Dave Castle. The music is characterized by strong melodies and the material on the new album is a meeting between jazz and pop harmonies with plenty of room for improvisation. The group's musical influences range from jazz, pop and blues where their own sound goes like a theme through each song. The album as well as live concerts feature four distinguished jazz musicians: Jan Lundgren (Piano) Ewan Svensson (guitar) Matz Nilsson (bass) and Zoltan Cz�rsz (drums) who together with Hannah form a fantastic group. Hannah Svensson paves her own way and with five albums established herself as one of our most appreciated jazz singers. She is heard in many different combinations and contexts both in Sweden and internationally. "I see music as a lifelong journey and with this album I have landed in something new that has always been within me. Some of the songs are written almost ten years ago, they have been lying there, waiting to be picked up at the right time and context. Stravinsky composed a small but significant body of works for wind instruments of which the larger ones are presented here, by the Swedish Wind Ensemble. The first three wind works, Symphonies of Wind Instruments, Octet and Concerto for Piano and Wind Instruments, were created in the twenties, while the concluding two wind works, Circus Polka and Ebony Concerto, were Stravinsky’s few excursions into the genres of jazz and popular music in mid 1900’s. Symphonies of Wind Instruments (1920, revised 1947) is considered one of Stravinsky’s greatest works. Octet (Octuor) (1923, new version 1952) is recognized as one of the first works in the neoclassical genre. Concerto for Piano and Winds (1923-24, revised 1950) is one among several piano pieces composed as vehicles for Stravinsky himself in an effort to make money as a performer. Swedish-Polish pianist Peter Jablonski is internationally acclaimed for his natural fluency of playing and an extraordinarily deep knowledge of piano repertoire, which make his performances timeless and captivating. Jablonski has been performing on major world stages for over twenty-five years. His extensive discography includes recordings he has made for Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, Philips, and Altara labels for thirty years. He received numerous awards for his recordings, which include the Edison award and the Grammophone Classical Music Award. Clarinettist Johan Söderlund is the currently serving concertmaster of the Swedish Wind Ensemble. Apart from his work in the classical field Söderlund is a comfortable performer in jazz and other improvised music which mirrors his broad musical tastes and skills.

Erland Svenungsson is a priest, psychotherapist and author of several books. Camilla Voigt is a composer and church musician in the Swedish Church. For a few years, they have collaborated, among other things, on a project with poems and Bible texts. Mirjam Simonsson is a freelance violinist and Karl Peter Eriksson is an opera singer who is active at his own opera company Man Must Sing. By chance, these musicians met and these songs somehow found a sound world from which to grow. The music and the texts want to inspire the listener to quietly and meditatively reflect on the importance of living a life that is their own, walking a path that is theirs, and getting close with comfort and hope.
