(SACD-HYBRID) the Stockholm Baroque Orchestra is a group of experienced musicians who have a special interest in the music of the Baroque and Classical periods. The orchestra has toured throughout Sweden and performed in England, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Lebanon, Finland and Norway. This Surround Sound 4.0 SACD features the dance music of well-known composer John Sebastian Bach. This SACD contains "Suite No. 2 in B Minor," "Suite No. 1 in C," "Sonata in G," "Invention No. 8 in F" and many others.

(SACD-HYBRID) This second SACD by Georg Gulyas features his tribute on guitar to the important works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Includes "The Chaconne" and "The Suite in E Minor" and the "Suite in C Minor". The Chaconne was composed in C"then north of Leipzig about 1720 and forms part of the Partita No. 2 in D minor for solo violin. Numerous composers have paid homage to this work by transcribing it for every possible instrument and ensemble. The Suite in E Minor and the Suite in C Minor, composed sometime between 1707-17 and 1740-41 respectively, have been the subject of a great deal of speculation since no manuscripts of the works in Bach's hand have been discovered.

(SACD-HYBRID) Some of the most beautiful folk tune hymns from Dalecarlia arranged for a cappella choir and organ. When Nils Lindberg came to Stockholm in the 1950s to study music he knew exactly what he wanted to do: first he would study at the Royal Academy of Music and then he would compose major symphonic works. He brought with him folk music and church music from his native province of Dalarna where the composer Oskar Lindberg was a major influence. Swedish Folk Tunes from Dalecarlia consists of folk tunes with religious lyrics performed by the excellent Uppsala Cathedral Choir. Also included are some organ variations based on these religious Swedish folk tunes.
