Lou Rawls (December 1, 1933 - January 6, 2006) was an American record producer, singer, composer and actor. Rawls released more than 60 albums, sold more than 40 million records. Talk about Groovy People.

The O'Jays are an American R&B group from Canton, Ohio, formed in 1958 and originally consisting of Eddie Levert (born June 16, 1942), Walter Lee Williams (born August 25, 1943), William Powell (January 20, 1942 - May 26, 1977), Bobby Massey (born 1942, Canton) and Bill Isles (January 4, 1941 - March 28, 2019). The O'Jays emerged at the forefront of Philadelphia soul with "Back Stabbers" (1972), and topped the US Billboard Hot 100 the following year with "Love Train." Several other US R&B hits followed, and The O'Jays were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, and in 2013 they were inducted into National Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame.

The Harptones were one of the many doowop vocal groups to emerge from New York City in the early '50s, and although they did not have an illustrious chart career, they were one of the most consistently admired and popular groups, both with the contemporary market of the times and with doowop fans and critics in more recent years. With the distinctive tenor voice of Willie Winfield almost always to the fore, they produced a string of polished and classy performances on record through the 1950s, hampered in their search for chart success by recording for a variety of small and under-resourced record companies. This great-value 54-track 2-CD set comprises A and B sides of singles for the Bruce, Essex, X, Paradise, Andrea, Rama, Gee, Tip Top, Domme, Warwick, Coed, Companion and Cub labels during this era, and features their best-known recordings such as "A Sunday Kind of Love", "Why Should I Love You?", "Life is But a Dream", "The Shrine of St. Cecilia", and "What Will I Tell My Heart". Jackie Wilson earned the nickname "Mr Excitement" for his performances as one of the most dynamic and electrifying soul singers of the '50s and '60s, with an extraordinary four-octave vocal range and an ability to deliver up-tempo rockers and dramatic semi-operatic ballads with equal credibility and panache. He made his first solo records in 1953 under the name Sonny Wilson for Dizzy Gillespie's Dee Gee label, before joining Billy Ward & The Dominoes as a replacement for Clyde McPhatter, when the latter went solo. Wilson, in turn, embarked on a solo career in 1956 for the Brunswick label, scoring a landmark hit with his first release "Reet Petite", and going on to chalk up fifty hits before suffering a disabling heart attack in 1975, which ended his career, with thirty of those hits coming during the years covered by this collection. The Coasters were one of the vocal groups of the '50s and early '60s who bridged the gap between the doowop and R&B eras of the early '50s through to the rock 'n' roll explosion and beyond, with a run of hits that extended into the 1960s. They began life as a spin-off from the doowop group The Robins, adopted by the up-and-coming songwriting and production team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller as a vehicle for their work, changing their name after their first hit from The Robins to The Coasters as they switched from Leiber & Stoller's Spark label to the Atlantic subsidiary Atco when the duo signed a production deal with the label. This great-value 56-track 2-CD set comprises all their A &B sides as The Robins and The Coasters from their Spark debut in 1954 through to 1962, plus, as a bonus, the two titles which appeared on their albums during the period and were not otherwise released on singles. It naturally features their eighteen chart entries from the period, including the legendary US and UK hits Searchin', Yakety Yak, Charlie Brown and Poison Ivy, plus other memorable US successes like Smokey Joe's Caf�, Down In Mexico, Youngblood, Hog For You Baby, Along Came Jones and Little Egypt. US 180-gram vinyl pressing. Extension of a Man is an album released by the R&B/Soul singer Donny Hathaway in 1973. It was his last studio album. It's noted for including a young Stanley Clarke of (then) Return to Forever on a couple of tracks, as well as drummer Fred White, brother to Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White (who worked with Hathaway in Chicago in the early days).

Two CDs. 2020 release. The Rarities is a compilation of fan favorites, rare songs and unreleased gems, all hand-picked by Mariah herself. In addition, the second disc is the never before released full length audio from Live at the Tokyo Dome, Mariah's first concert performance in Japan in support of her 1996 Daydream World Tour.

This great-value 59-track 2-CD collection comprises selected A&B sides from his releases with The Drifters, plus selected solo A&B sides from his releases during these years on the Atlantic, MGM and Mercury labels, and including duets with Ruth Brown.
